Kalkie State School is a valued part of the Bundaberg community, built on strong partnerships between students, families and local organisations. We are committed to our 5C's co-operation, consideration, courtesy, shared commitment and care, creating opportunities that enrich both learning and community life. Our open and welcoming approach encourages parents and caregivers to actively engage in their child’s education through volunteering, participating in the P&C, supporting events and assisting with school activities.
Students are encouraged to extend their learning beyond the classroom through meaningful community involvement. Through our Reef Guardian leadership initiatives and partnerships with local organisations such as the Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise, students participate in environmental and civic projects that promote responsibility and community awareness. School events including ANZAC Day commemorations, family fun days and other celebrations further strengthen connections between families and the wider community.
At Kalkie State School, we believe our 5C's help nurture a strong community spirit where students, families and community members feel welcomed, supported and connected.
